For the first time with the Filarmónica de Cali, María Barbosa will conduct a captivating program that takes the audience through the fantasy, romance, and brilliance of three iconic composers. The concert will begin with Mendelssohn’s exuberant A Midsummer Night’s Dream Overture, immersing the audience in a world of magic and nature. Next, Joaquín Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez, performed by Manuel Casas also from Colombia, will highlight the poetry and passion of the Spanish guitar. Finally, the program will conclude with the elegance and brightness of Mozart’s Haffner Symphony, a masterpiece that unfolds brilliant complexity and beauty.
